Curiouser and Curiouser

Some Alberta stories do not need a takedown. They need a closer look. The headline might be true. The concern might be real. The argument might even make sense. But the part that matters is often sitting underneath it, quietly waving from the footnotes while everyone else argues over the headline.

This is where the background gets dragged into daylight. Budgets, timelines, definitions, legislation, public systems, policy choices, political framing, and all the little details that change what the story actually means. Not every issue is a scandal. Not every disagreement is a conspiracy. Sometimes the missing piece is just context, and context has an annoying habit of making simple stories less simple.

Sometimes the important piece is a number that has been quoted without the comparison that makes it meaningful. Sometimes it is a timeline that explains why a decision did not come out of nowhere. Sometimes it is one sentence buried in a report that everyone skipped because it looked boring. Which is rude, honestly, because boring details run half the province.

The goal is simple: make the conversation smarter before it gets louder. This is where Alberta's public debates get opened up, sorted out, and given enough background to make sense. Because Alberta politics is confusing enough without everyone fighting over half a map and a flashlight with no batteries.
